Johnny is a Long Island–based artist and professional graphic designer whose work lives somewhere between creativity, curiosity, and personal reflection. After studying art at Alfred University, he built a career in graphic design while continuing to paint as an outlet for creative expression—and, often, a form of therapy.

After losing his twin brother, Johnny was diagnosed with cancer and underwent seven months of chemotherapy. The year that followed was spent recovering, rebuilding, and figuring out what came next.

Eventually, that answer became health.

Since then, Johnny has lost 275 pounds and documented much of the journey through his social media account, @johnnyrages.

Notes from the Flame is an extension of that journey—a place for art, observations, music, mental health, humor, and the occasional reminder that even the messiest chapters can become part of something meaningful.
